Dogs are a wonderful part of life ! Share your stories about your dogs with us !
We currently have 3 dogs: Creole a lab mix and survivor of Hurrican Katrina, Hoss a long haired Chihuahua and Lily a German Shorthaired Pointer who was left to us when one of our neighbors died.
We adopted Creole and Lily ! Adoption is a wonderful thing to do. Take a dog from a shelter and it will enrich your life.

I too have 2 rescued dogs. My pit bull, Lola is lying under the sheets with her head on a pillow and snoring as I write this and it is all I can do not to wake her and kiss her. How on earth did the most wonderful breed of dog become the most feared and hated. My home insurance cancelled me last week for telling them about her. Then Geico dropped my umbrella policy because of her. If you adopt a pitbull your life will change in many ways, but first you will learn what so many people have all ready known about descrimination.
Comment by Jeramie Dreyfuss November 2, 2008 @ 8:15 pmMy other dog is a huge black lab/Chesapeake who weighs 130 pounds, but no body worried about him at the insurance companies. They shouldn’t…he too is a great love. He is always loyal and thinks 24 hours a day about me. The difference in the two is that Lola literally cuddles with me all night long, goes everywhere I go that she is allowed and otherwise, sits quietly in the driver seat waiting for me to return. thank God everyone who sticks their hands in the car to pet her only get kissed. She loves all people. I rescued her at the age of 8 weeks from the Reno Shelter and am very grateful they did not kill her and bottle fed her after killing her mother after giving birth. I wish I could have saved the mother, she must have been quite a girl.
Creole was rescued from New Orleans. She survived Hurricane Katrina ! She is a fun, loving and outgoing dog. She is very friendly and she loves to play. Adopt a dog ! It is very rewarding !
Comment by isabellacane November 2, 2008 @ 11:17 pmIsabella Cane’s exquisite collars and leashes add a whole new dimension to our two pugs and black lab’s existence. They “up the annie” wherever they go, making the other dogs’ envious of their perfectly designed collars and matching leashes, be it in the outdoor venue, their party life, the holiday seasons, or the everyday go to town days, they always look their best in their stripes, plaids, velvets and polka dots; not only that, they eat out of their handsome Isabella Cane dog bowls, as Kirk and I drink hot drinks out of the same patterned cups. When the day is done, and all are tired, the dogs cuddle together on their glorious and sumptuous Isabella Cane beds. How good is it! Thank you Isabella Cane for making LIFE BEAUTIFUL!

Comment by Nicole K April 5, 2009 @ 1:15 amI adopted 2 Boxers, Riley(10 on 9/9/09) and Lily, I will forever be a Boxer mommy. After Lily passed away due to dilated cardiomyopathy we resued Annabelle a Shephard/ Beagle mix. I will ONLY adopt and rescue from now on, Hubby has been converted too, his baby was a pure bred German Shephard that was his K9 partner @ the prison. He took him home and we were graced with his loyality and protection for 12 years.
